Since I was little I had in my mind that "mamá quiero ser artista" ("Mummy, I want to be an artist"), sung by Concha Velasco. I remember that already in nursery school, just arrived, I toured the school run by nuns singing “Lady, lady, se pinta los ojos de azul” ("Lady, lady, eyes painted blue"). The stage infected me like a virus which my parents wanted to cure. Instead of theatre as an extra-curricular activity, they put me down for basketball, and instead of dramatic arts, they insisted on a worthwhile career.  “And, later, you can do what you want", they concluded.

When I was able to decide, I realised that what was worthwhile was being happy with what one does. So I left basketball and I signed up to theatre classes, I studied Art History and later went to Madrid to have classes in performance a the Cristina Rota School.

During that period, in 1999, I chanced upon the fascinating world of storytelling. I was not told stories as a child, so I was captivated by listening to stories told live. I felt love at first sight for those charmers who, with only their naked voices, took me to other places, dressed me in other skins, shook me or made me ponder. I fell so in love with the spoken word that I said to myself, “I want to live from telling stories". And that is what I did, that is what I do. I tell stories for all ages in a wide range of places, from classrooms in Primary Schools to squares, festivals and theatres. I share the stories that grab me inside, whether traditional or by an author.

The need to play, experiment, express and create has, in recent years, led me to explore new horizons. On the one hand I have specialised in young infants. promoting various projects for families with babies; and on the other hand I have delved deeper into the various ways to bring a story to the stage, alone or accompanied by other arts and artists, creating a company called Contando Ando.

In the end, life is a story full of paths and new challenges that, since I was a girl, I always dreamed of taking.
