Sandra Cerezo Alemán (Madrid 1971) is an actress and storyteller. She has a diverse and varied self-taught background, based more on practice than on theory. She has studied Psychology, interpretation and dubbing, and music at University, and post-graduate studies in Social and Socio-educational Theatre from the Pablo Olavide University in Seville, and she trained as a specialist in the Design, Management and Evaluation of Social Projects. In addition to numerous courses such as educational music, theatre, interpretation, clown workshops and storytelling. She began by working for several years in a Music and Expression Workshop for children, where she came into contact with musical stories, adapting stories and texts, and she acquired wide professional experience as an actor in Theatre and Puppet companies in Seville, also producing children's musicals. Since 2003 she has had her own Theatre company, Triglú Teatro S.C.A together with her son and pianist Adrián Cardeñoso and she works on the coordination, management, production and running of children's small format storytelling activities and shows which include live piano. She also researches and works on activities which encourage reading for children and teenagers, and participates with those activities on circuits and in libraries, schools and town halls in the nooks and crannies of Andalucia. In 2010 she began her venture into storytelling shows for adults, and participates in the organization of the Oral Narration Intercultural Festival in the same city, while also participating in various festivals as a storyteller. With regards to her work in Social Theatre she co-founded the Social Theatre Intercultural Network, where she carries out research into Social Street Theatre, and in 2011 she created the Entre Aguas Social Theatre Association through which she is working on several projects, one of which is the Social Theatre Workshop which aims to promote reintegration and reincorporation into society in women's prisons using storytelling as a working tool. |
